We are a FAMILY
"Then He looked at those seated in a circle around Him and said, 'Here are My mother and My brothers! Whoever does God’s will is My brother and sister and mother.'" Mark 3:34-35

This is at the heart of our identity for Cornerstone - Airdrie.  We are family.  We are God’s family and we become family to each other.  We are not a family by blood, but a family that's been bought by blood.

As Cornerstone Church we 'Follow Jesus Together' and for Cornerstone - Airdrie - 'As Family We Go'

We embrace CHILDREN
"He took a little child whom he placed among them. Taking the child in His arms, He said to them, 'Whoever welcomes one of these little children in My name welcomes Me; and whoever welcomes Me does not welcome Me but the one who sent Me.'” Mark 9:36-37

Jesus tells us if we receive children well, then we have received God well.  We need to be a church that celebrates and loves, loves, loves children. We believe that children are both the church of tomorrow but at the same time, the church of today.  If we want a church tomorrow we need our children to be part of the church today.

We are a church that really loves and celebrates kids.

We know that kids bring messes and noise; and we don’t just ignore those things.  We have a desire to train up children in the way they should go.

We desire to be MULTI-GENERATIONAL
“One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts” Psalm 145:4

"Do not rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father, younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, younger women as sisters, with all purity." 1 Timothy 5:1&2

“Tell your sons about it, and let your sons tell their sons, and their sons the next generation” Joel 1:3

The third of our core values doesn’t really come from a single verse but rather it is something that found all throughout scripture.

You are never too young to become a part of a family and you never become too old. Generations and multi-generations are crucially important to us.  Age doesn’t determine if you are a part of a family and it doesn't determine if we are a part of this family.  As long as we are alive we are apart of a family. Everyone is welcome, everyone is needed.

We are a family not by blood, but a family that’s been bought by blood.

As family we go!
