I pray that the great God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ may give you the wisdom of His Spirit. Then you will be able to understand the secrets about Him as you know Him better. I pray that your hearts will be able to understand. I pray that you will know about the hope given by God’s call. I pray that you will see how great the things are that He has promised to those who belong to Him. I pray that you will know how great His power is for those who have put their trust in Him.
Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will go into the holy nation of heaven. The one who does the things My Father in heaven wants him to do will go into the holy nation of heaven. Many people will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not preach in Your Name? Did we not put out demons in Your Name? Did we not do many powerful works in Your Name?’ Then I will say to them in plain words, ‘I never knew you. Go away from Me, you who do wrong!’ MATTHEW 7.21-23
The ancient Hebrews had a understanding of the word "know" that went beyond what we would call a "head knowledge" but the word carried far more of a sense of the experience. And that is what we want for you with God. That you wouldn’t just have a deeper head knowledge of God, but rather you would experience Him, that you would KNOW Him.
Let us thank the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It was through His loving-kindness that we were born again to a new life and have a hope that never dies. This hope is ours because Jesus was raised from the dead.” 1 PETER 1.3
Someone who follows Jesus is someone who refuses to believe that evil, suffering, and pain get the last word in this life. But that the resurrection of Jesus Christ means something about the future. Our future, yours and mine, the future of the universe, and the future of humanity. And what it means to us, what it points to for us, that changes everything is what we call hope; the hope of the ressurection.
We all have different gifts that God has given to us by His loving-favor. We are to use them. ROMANS 12.6
You are all a part of the body of Christ. God has chosen different ones in the church to do His work. 1 CORINTHIANS 12:27
We want every person who comes to Cornerstone Church to live the very best life possible. Which is, of course, a life filled fully in relationship with our creator God. We want everyone who is a part of Cornerstone Church - Airdrie to discover who it is that God has designed and created them to be. And how they can find purpose, and meaning in serving God and in serving others.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes into your life. You will tell about Me in the city of Jerusalem and over all the countries of Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. ACTS 1.8
We want everyone to know, to experience the power that comes from a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ. The freedom, the love, the forgiveness, the purpose and the hope that comes into our lives because of the power of Jesus Christ at work in our lives!
